I'm desperately looking for a playgroup, more like an 18-24 month old group, for my 21 month old daughter. The good playgroups, the ones with 2 teachers per 8-12 kids only accept vouchers. Otherwise, you have to send your child to a class of 20 kids with 2 teachers.
Any suggestions of a well run non voucher playgroup?

Where is Orgel located and do you have her phone number?
I believe Shem Tov is only vouchers.

I'll look for their number. They don't have transportation. Expensive but very well run.

Crazy! Vouchers did for the playgrps what section 8 for the rent!! Absolutely insane!!

You can always send to Flatbush...
It's mind boggling how these expensively dressed, bugaboo owners are poor enough to get vouchers...

Vouchers didn’t do anything to the Playgroup’s.

There are tons of way cheaper options out there. Only the vouchers Playgroup’s charge that fee if you don’t have vouchers.

I personally sent to Shem Tov and payed $550 a month. That was 3 years ago. They were worth every penny.

Wow these prices are crazy....I'm in Flatbush paying a lot less...355 a month. Are the ones discussed upthread all licensed??

Fully licensed and good teacher to child ratios. It hurts to pay but it's well worthwhile. The other playgroups are terrible in my experience and I couldn't leave my kids there.

Wow. I'm sending to a great private playgroup with 12 kids and 2 teachers. For 355.
