I have to book a hotel room for my son who will be getting married in Lakewood. Can anyone recommend a hotel not too far away that would be a nice place for the wedding night? I am not from the area so I do now know what is there.
Thanks

My husband knew someone that takes care of the hotel arrangements for chassanim.
We stayed at the Sheraton Eatontown Hotel. He probably got us an upgraded room.

Ewww! Chosson's mother arranged wedding night hotel? Talk about awkward!!
Why can't the chosson do it himself? making a hotel reservation is a pretty basic life skill

Wow- I was asking a question, not asking for comments.
Yes, it is the chosson's side who makes the arrangements and for all my sons so far (4) I have made the reservations. Unfortunately, they all have different preferences and driving abilities so I cannot reserve the same place as I had in the past. (or they were not happy with their choice)
Don't all presume that your chosson made the decisions & reservations for you, as well as paid. That is usually done by parents, but kudos to you if your chosson can do it all!

Thank you for your suggestions at Eatontown and Ocean Place. I will look into them.

My son suggested the Hilton Garden but they have a note on their website saying they are doing renovations during the time of the chasuna so I figured it may not be so nice to go there.
I did see Ramada in Toms River that seemed nice. I was going to call them to find out if they have a special kind of room or bridal suite.

just a reminder that a bridal suite may only have one large King/Queen bed - which may land your son on the armchair or in the bathtub:)

When you stayed at the Sheraton, did you just have a regular room or were you upgraded to something else?

Ramada in Tom's river is a pretty run down, low level hotel. Dont be fooled by website pictures.

I stayed at the Sheraton in Eatonown (regular room) and would not suggest it.
It's nice but old and you can tell.
Unless they've fixed things up in the years since.

I agree, if he’s getting married he should be able to handle this type of thing. But to each their own I guess.
Op if they show up to the hotel in wedding attire and ask they may get an upgrade from the hotel.

Try the Hilton Garden Inn on route 70
I had no idea these things were usually done by parents , my husband was on his own ... I think it is super nice of you to be helping and paying

Another vote for the Hilton Garden Inn on Rt. 70. The Ramada is disgusting.
Ocean Place and other hotels in Eatontown might be nice but does your son want to drive for 20-25 minutes after his wedding?

The Sheraton is in middle of an upgrade. I think they did all the rooms, and now they're working on the lobby/reception area. I stayed there recently and the rooms were very nice.
