Well there’s a fairly large parade going on...

Just kidding.

It’ll be freezing out.

Jewish children’s museum is your best bet

Are you visiting from out of town?

Macys sponsors an enormous Thanksgiving Parade in Manhattan - You can google the route but it starts very early and you have to line up on the sidewalk for hours in order to attempt to see it. I doubt young children would be up to enjoy something like that. It's very Xmas themed as well which may or may not bother people.

You would have to google what is open on Thanksgiving Day and obviously what is the weather. The Zoo in Central Park is fun - if open.

It’s going to be 26 degrees on Thursday. Jewish children’s museum is in crown heights and will be great for those ages.

Definitely go to the parade. We've gone a couple of times. Super fun. Though wrap up warm, Thursday is supposed to be freezing.
