This erev Shabbos I listened to a song by Mizumen called "Who's Gonna Tell Their Story?" and found myself bawling over the kitchen sink thinking about how incredible it is that my grandparents came to America with nothing but their faith and their resilience, and what an incredible dynasty they rebuilt. I have thought about this idea before but this song completely blew me away with its poignancy. And I don't cry easily!
What songs make you yearn? Cry? Touch the infinite? Reconnect to yourself? Make you soar inside?

Joe DiMaggio’s card is actually from Abie Rottenberg’s Journeys.

Come with me little neshamale - I always cry.
I was coming in from out of town for a relative’s levaya and the driver who was hired to drive me played that song, not realizing that the song is not one I would want to hear when just hearing tragic news.

Kol b’rama, which I guess is simcha leiner, as I see here. One of my kids is the same exact age as one of the Fogel kids, and it still, all these years later, tugs at my heart.
