This morning my dd couldn't find her headband for school she is almost 13. she was so angry that she started yelling things like I hate myself, I'm nothing worth, I'm gonna kill myself. I tried not saying anything to her but helped her look for it, and prepared her breakfast, so she was upset and said I'm ignoring her.
How can I help her deal with such emotions.
What should I say to her when she comes home from school?

Is she having self esteem issues? It's a very tender age when girls bodies are changing, styles are emerging, and there's a lot of pressure to look a certain way.
Talk to her at a calm time. Be emphatic. Tell her how worried you are about the words she said about herself. Tell her she sounded worried and scared about how she looked and if there's anything going on in school. Ask her about peer pressure. Tell her you care and want to know and help her.
