Ot seems like some of you shop, take a chill day, or spend on luxuries.
Im curious as to when you find this necessary: after heavy yomim tovim, when there's lots of work, during a long, monotonous time at work with no breaks, or after a family vacation.

We don’t have the money for vacation and the ideas for staycations on this thread sound nice. But I have a toddler home all day. What do you do with your baby?

If I have an opportunity to not be working or with the kids for a few hours, I try to spend time in a calm, beautiful place. Either a beach, other body of water, botanical gardens. Something like that. Sometimes I walk, something I just sit. And I breathe and let my mind wander. That's what I need in my time off.

I also have a toddler and getting away without the baby isn’t feasible right now.
I send her to a drop in babysitter for a few hours and get a pedicure. That’s a staycation for me at this stage.
