To the Op, I am not familiar with the chariedi community in Israel, but I think Boaz is a beautiful name!

Never heard it used by American charedim in U.S. Or Israel.
The only boaz I know is an American BT's kid inn the US

On the other hand, one of my Israeli neighbors once commented on the uniqueness of my kid's names.
don't want to post them (even this th they are NOT unique!)
But one was a female in chumash (not one of the imahos), and the other was a male name of a major Tanna in the gemara. And I don't mean something uncommon like Abba or Chisda. I mean a name that grade school boys and girls are familiar with...
