An almond crisp is a very flat crispy cookie. If you want the recipe I can post it.

Almond Crisps
2 1/2 c. blanched, sliced almonds
2/3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
8 egg whites
Place eggs whites in a bowl and beat with a fork to loosed. Add almonds, flour, and sugar; mix together by hand. Set the batter aside for 30 minutes.
Prepare a well greased cookie sheet. Drop batter by teaspoons or tablespoons (depending on the size you want, I didn't want them too big so I did teaspoons, they spread out a lot). Leave a lot of space in between spoonfuls.
Use a knife or the back of a spoon (back of spoon worked the best) to spread the batter into an even round circle.
Bake in a preheated oven at 325 F for 12-15 minutes or until golden. Allow crisps to cook on the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to wire rack to cool completely.

I just made dessert for dinner.
2 raspberry jello dissolved in
1 cup boiling water
let cool slightly, then add
1 can jellied cranberry sauce
1 can shredded pineapple, drained
1 box or bag frozen strawberries, without sauce
1/4 cup coconut (optional)
1/4 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
1 can mandarins
mix, chill and top with coconut if desired.
easy, and yummy, although slightly too sweet for me. but I am sure my kids will love it.
