Hi Imamothers!
My DD has to give a 2 min ''speech'' at her Bas Mitzvah brunch in school this week
She is quite shy, and I'm looking for something very simple and sweet for her to say. Nothing complicated, in case she gets overwhelmed. Asking all over, and nothing that feels perfect for us. So, I'm turning to my talented and helpful amother friends for a short, sweet vort/ thought on Bas Mitzvah.
Thanks in advance Smile

Maybe something about rosh chodesh- new moon, new beginnings and becoming a bat mitzvah new stage of life as well it being Nissan and B"Y starting their new lives as a free nation to serve Hashem...

You have two solutions, write it for her if you want her to say special stuff, or let her do her style so she learns and it's hers. We had her write it but added things like thank yous.

My DD picked her own topic. Prior to her idea, DH and I had offered several suggestions and nothing interested her. We helped her expand it but it was her initial idea that got her going. For her, it was a speech about the meaning of her Hebrew name.
