Ladies
I need some help. I got a great price on first cut brisket and bought a bunch. Problem is that the sign might have said first cut brisket but it was really first cut corn beef brisket.
I already started cooking it with my regular brisket recipe when I noticed it.
So now what - keep going. Stop and do
Something else? It’s just summer in a pot now over low heat. I haven’t added the sauce yet.
And if stop and do something else, I need some great corn beef recipes.

You're simmering it in water now? That's perfect.

Nope. The recipe I had was to sear it at high heat and then let simmer in a pan. It’s been doing that for about 30 minutes. After an hour you put a sauce on it and cook for another hour and a half.
I’m so frustrated.
I can just finish making the recipe and freeze it and hope for the best when I serve it to my unsuspecting family one shabbos.

It should still be delicious. Proceed as planned.
