There's a chocolate workshop in Kibbutz Demands Aleph, but you need to reserve a spot.

robotic farm in Avnei Eitan is partly outside but mostly inside. Think you might need to book a spot in advance though

A couple of times, when the kids were younger.
It's worth a visit. Usually there is also some kind of audio-visual show too. There was something about outer space IIRC when we were there last and the kids enjoyed it.
Haifa in itself is also worth a visit. The maritime museum is interesting too.
You can ride the cable car from the lower city up to the lookout point in Stella Maris and enjoy the beatiful panorama.
The Bahai gardens are probably not an option in this weather unfortunately.

Fyi..if you ever decide to go to madatech and see the sign for rock park and think oh I saw that on trip advisor thats cool lets do that din3ce its not raining..don't..in an arab village, squishy roads and though its part of the park system no one is there, its street parking and you just dont feel safe.

Are you looking for advice on *all* of Northern Israel? It's a big place. It'd help to be more specific.
Plenty to do in Tzfat and the area around it if you're interested in Kabbalah, art, history, burial sites of tzaddikim etc

Is this still relevant?
The Madatech museum is nice and very hands-on. I highly recommend it for kids in the 3-10 age range. (Older kids would probably enjoy it too, just not as much or for as long.)
It does tend to be crowded on chol hamoed, call in advance to reserve tickets if you know that you want to go.
There's also the Theater Festival in Haifa, in the same area. I'm not sure what's going on with the outdoor exhibitions they usually do, but the paid-entrance plays I assume are going on as scheduled (in the theater and in community centers).
