Best tip I got turned out to be so helpful...do one room at a time, start in one corner, finish it, move to the next corner, finish it, etc. If you go from one area or room to another randomly, you never finish! Good luck!

First step: get rid of anything you dont need or haven't used in a year, or whatever criteria you set for yourself. The more you get rid of, the less you have to pack and the more organized your new house is. It is unbelievable how much we got rid if and I dont miss any of it.
Keep clothes on hangers and throw a garbage bag over it for "suit bags."
Keep clothing in drawers if you can and move them like that.
Open several boxes, fill them. Take a 10 minute break and then open another few boxes. Take it a few boxes at a time.
Labeling by room is more important than labeling what is in it.
Pack each person for at least one week of clothing and necessities so you dont have to unpack right away.
Put 2 sets of linen on the beds. Top layer you take off and launder when you move, but you will have a clean set underneath and ready to sleep on.
Hatzlacha!

Pack a box of necessities for the first night and following day. Linens, toiletries, pajamas and change of clothes for each person, COFFEE (!!) and breakfast things. Make sure it is very easy to find.
