what is wrong with some people?!?! I was visiting someone on shabbos - and a comment was made about my daughter's friend deserving to die because they are not jewish - enough to make me sick

That is disgusting.

It is decidedly unJewish as well...to wish death on an innocent like that. How did you respond?

his claim was that he is not innocent for being with a "bas yisroel" he deserves death - jumping to presumptions that he doesn't even know

I was disgusted and told him that it was a horrific thing to say and that I was mortified

wait a minute...being with a bas Yisroel? You mean a non-Jew dating a Jewish woman?...well, we all know the story of Pinchas, although I wonder if he remembers that we are not supposed to go around teaching the halacha about the death penalty.

Only a true, kosher version of a zealot like Pinchas can kill in such a situation, acc to the halacha.

But now that you put his remarks into proper context...at least on an intellectual level, they make sense.
