Due to a mistake, I ended up with 2x250 ml of heavy cream. I do not have a milchig mixer or blender, and haven't found any easy recipes in which to use it. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

I make penne ala vodka. I use the Gefen vodka sauce and add around 1/2 bottle of the big bottles of heavy cream. I heat it up and pour it over the penne.

Chocolate truffles
Creamed spinach
You can whip it with a whisk and a right amount of elbow grease.

Heavy cream is freezable.
Defrost the night before in refrigerator, and shake it up well before use

Make a cream soup. And a ganache for your cheesecake. Quiche.

Put it in an empty jar.
Give it to your five year old to shake.
After a few minutes, open jar, and enjoy your yummy cream!

Can you post a recipe for a cheesecake ganache using heavy cream that you personally have used? I've had mixed luck with them.

You might end up with butter if you do that for too long! So watch it.
Ganache. Ice cream. Custard/creme brulee. My cheese cake recipe uses cream. Strawberries and cream. Eton mess. caramel sauce.
My husband eats (drinks?) cream straight from the bottle.

Measure 4 oz chopped chocolate on kitchen scale.
Bring 1/2 cup heavy cream to a simmer on the stove top, stirring occasionally. Just as soon as you see a simmer, remove from heat and add chocolate.
Let it sit for 2-3 minutes. Start whisking slowly in the middle of the bowl, and continue whisking in one direction until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before using on a dessert.

Make butter. Put it in a tightly-lidded jar. Shake, shake, shake. When you get tired, give it to a loved one. Pass it around and don’t stop shaking until...suddenly...whoosh, the sound changes and you have a lump of fresh sweet butter floating in watery liquid. Refrigerate and enjoy.

the liquid is buttermilk which can be used in baking.
You can also use an empty milk or soda bottle.

Going to try that.

Do you mind posting recipes please? Sounds awesome. Also ganache, ice creams and custard recipes. Anything. I use heavy cream to make hot cocoa. Heat milk. Add cocoa, cinnamon and sugar to taste. Add heavy cream. Yuuuum!!!

Thanks for all of the great ideas. At this point I think that I will probably freeze it to use when I am less upset about it. My DD's teacher gave the girls an ingredient list for making a Shavuos treat in school today. I was unpleasantly surprised by how expensive the items were on the list, but I bought them (about 4 times the usual cost for the Shavuos treat). Then, late last night (after DD's bedtime) a call came in that "whoops! I meant sour cream!" It is still an expensive treat, and based on the ingredient list, not one our family likes at all!
