Any ideas of what my 9 year old son can do for entertainment? He generally runs around all day outside, and I will need to keep him as low key as possible for about 10 days when he is post procedure.
TIA

There are a lot of different one person brain games, if he would give those a try. Cat Crimes is a fun one for that age. Rush hour...

Dvds, crafts, computer games, making a model or Lego set with instructions, comic books, Riddle books, listening to something audio like jokes or stories.
Have one of organizations come down with music or other entertainment, show for
him.

Kiwi crate science experiment.
In addition to kits that you can purchase, they have many free ideas and experiments online. I would google them for ideas.

He’s a bit young for this but if he has great fine motor skills my boys used to love these thin metal sheets that you form into 3-d things like battleships, drums etc. they sell it as a kit in toy stores

We just went through this three weeks ago with my ten year old. We bought him a Nintendo switch. I guess we took the easy way out.

This is not a long term solution but a one time one! If you live in Lakewood, the organization Misameiach would send down some guys to juggle or play music etc if he is into that.

OP here - This sounds really nice! Do you know the name of this, or perhaps a link of where I can purchase it?

Its 3d metal puzzles- but I looked it up for you and the recomended age is 14 plus! My boys did it when they were younger but I guess it may be too hard for your son. Sorry about that!
