I live in a 4 season area and looking for a pretty and sustainable house plant that can keep up during all 4 seasons. We’ve had one but died in the summer humidity and another one which didn’t last long without too much sunshine. I love plants and want something tried n tested and something that can hold up! Recommendations plz.

Philodendrons survive just about anything, prefer indoor light, and are very beautiful.

Zamioculcas highly recommended and tough ones, they are sturdy and don't mind if you forget to water them. Beautiful green glossy leaves. There is also an almost black Zamioculca which is gorgeous. And it's an air purifier too!

By "floor plant" do you mean something tree-like? Dracaena (all varieties) is great for this. If you mean just a plain ordinary potted plant, pothos, wandering jew (Zebrina or Tradescantia), aloe vera, jade plant are all good. Of course they'll do better with more light but they're all pretty tolerant. The biggest hazard to houseplants is overwatering.
