I would like to get away with my husband only in a place close to a minyan midweek.
We would like ideas of interesting activities in new Hampshire.
Any recommendations of best place to stay, would like to bring meals from NY .

There are loads of minyanim. I think we contacted Chabad to find out where they were. We were there recently in August and on the roads we saw mostly ny and nj minivans.
Edited to fix spell correction to chabad

The loon mountain area has the weekday minyanim. You can rent a townhouse in loon village or stay in the hotel.

You could stay at the Arlington which will have minyan and kosher food, but it's not cheap. Otherwise, check out http://www.lincolnnhminyan.com/ for info about the other main minyan in NH in the summer. Most of the activities involve nature - hikes, boating, scenic drives. Lost River, Loon Mt. tram ride, and Clark's Trading Post are also worth looking into.

They're a little young to appreciate the natural beauty, but there are kid-friendly activities like Clark's Trading Post that they would enjoy, some short strolls to the woods to nice waterfalls, and the train ride up Mt. Washington.
