My sons have very skinny stick- legs, so it's hard to find shorts that don't look super baggy. I don't mind for play/camp wear- I just get regular shorts from target/old navy and it's fine.
But I want to take family pictures and I'm trying to find shorts that are slimmer. They wear slim pants in the winter, but I can't seem to find slim shorts. Their little sister will be wearing this:

so I was hoping to put them in a nice white polo and I guess navy? shorts to match.
If anyone has any thoughts on wear I could find such a thing, I'd greatly appreciate it!
(FYI my boys are 6 and 8, but probably wear smaller sizes in shorts because they are both SO skinny!)

I bought chino shorts from next that were a very nice fit. Their chino ones are always more fitted than their regular ones.
I bought age 4 for my almost 6 year old. He's short and thin and I always size down for pants.
ETA: Here's the link: https://www.next.us/en/g82290s21#645901 Comes in several colors.

Children's place girl's skimmer shorts. Get slim size. Amazing fit. Can be worn unrolled as well.

Thanks! I think I'll try this! Might be the only solution for my stick figure boys!

I live in the UK so they provide free return labels, though here's their US return policy: https://www.nextdirect.com/hel.....10849
You can either arrange you own return shipping or use the smart label system for $7.

I agree with trying children’s place. Their shorts are always more narrow than the target/carters ones. Plus they have free shipping always
Eta I don’t know about the girls shorts as pp mentioned, but even the boys ones seem to be narrow
