Hi everyone!
Do you have a go-to no-fail cake that you make for Shabbos (or other special occasions)? My cakes are boring me. I'm looking for a new, not-to-complicated cake that doubles and triples easily (I have a whole bunch of friends who were such a huge help to me this week. They all deserve some cake!)
Thanks!

Vodka cake in a bundt pan
Crumb Cake
Melt away cake ( this recipe makes three loaf pans but is a bit more detailed)
Heavy Marble Bundt Cake
I dont know if you can triple the recipes. I've never tried it. If I need to make more than one, I just redo the recipe one after the other and bake them all at the same time.
If you want any of these recipes let me know and I'll dig them out and will type it up for you.

Vodka Cake:
2 Cups sugar
4 eggs
2/3 Cup oil
2 tsp. baking powder
2 Cups flour
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
3/4 Cup orange juice
1/4 Cup vodka
1/4 Cup amaretto liquor
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix for 3 minutes.
Pour into a greased bundt pan and bake on 350 for 50-60 minutes.
Meltaway Cake
Batter ingredients:
6 Cups flour
3 Cups sugar
1 and 3/4 Cup oil
3 Tablespoons vanilla sugar
6 eggs
1 1/2 Cups orange juice
2 Tablespoons flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Chocolate Mixture Ingredients:
3/4 Cup Oil
3/4 Cup hot water
1 Cup cocoa
1 and 1/4 Confectioners sugar
Directions:
1. Using a beater, combine the first four ingredients until crumbly. Set aside 2 and 14 Cups of crumbs
2. Add rest of ingredients to remaining crumbs. Mix until well combined
3. In a separate bowl mix chocolate mixture. Remove 1 Cup and set aside.
4. Pour remaining chocolate into batter forming two circles around the batter. Allow to stand for 10 minutes. Gently run a knife around the chocolate to push the chocolate mixture into the batter a bit.
5. Work with one pan at a time. Place it lengthwise in front of you and pour in a third of the batter while moving it back and forth. This will result in a beautifully striped marble effect.
6. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over each cake
7. Bake on 350 for 50 min. to an hour
8. Remove from oven and sprinkle with a heavy coating of confectioners sugar . ( I accidentally left out this part and the cake was divine anyway)
9. Put reserved chocolate mixture into a bag, snip off a tiny corner and drizzle cakes with chocolate.
Yields: 3 Medium loaf pans ( you can grease the pans or use parchment paper)
this recipe has quite a few steps but it results in a very delicious looking and delicious tasting cake. It's worth following the directions step by step.
I dont have anymore time to post the other recipes. When I do have the time, I'll try to post.
