Boca is Very hot. We were there in August and couldn't go out until 5:00 every day (except for going to the pool). My friend who lives in Boca comes up to new Jersey every summer cuz its cooler there

Here is an old thread that thoroughly describes Dallas and Houston.
I live in Houston and commented as "Mint" amother.
The thread is from 2017 but I feel like everything I wrote is still quite accurate. The housing has gone up even more in the past two years but you still get a nice amount of square footage for the price. The community is growing by leaps and bounds - I believe more than 20 families are moving in this summer.
ETA: oops! Here's the link to the other thread

I just visited Houston a few months ago. The Jewish community is very nice, the people are really great and the houses are nice and a good value but outside of the few streets that encompass the jewish community the neighborhood is very bad, very low income. Its a small nice fishbowl in the middle of the jungle. Will probably be very nice in 10 years when the community has grown enough to really be in its own neighborhood.

Thank you for that link, it was soo informative!
So Houston is out.
We were just in Florida and were ok with the heat. How much is property taxes in East Boca and in Dallas?
Are the houses close together in Dallas/Plano area?
