He used to sleep from 8-8:30ish. Then when it started getting light earlier he started waking up about 7-7:30. This week he started waking up between 6-630. What is going on? He’s just 14 months old and not able to skip his naps yet. He gets way too tired and cranky without his two naps by day. Any tips?

I’d move up his morning nap. You’d have to do it soon anyone when you condense his 2 naps into 1

What do you mean? Truth is he’s waking up too early for his own good and is now getting tired at 8 instead of his usual 10:30. He’s the kind of kid who needs his sleep or he’s impossible.

Great so put him down for a nap at 8, or 9.
Sleep transitions are normal. Painful but normal

By 14 months most kids are on one nap a day.

But he’s just not ready. He gets so tired in the morning and then can’t make it past 3:30-4 for an afternoon nap.

And then? He would never make it till bedtime on one morning nap. Also, How does timing of naps affect amount of sleep?
