Everyone has a laundry bag in their own room, hanging on a hook behind the door. I use those over-the-door hooks that you don’t have to install

There are over the door hampers.

I find over the door hampers easier than laundry bags because its more likely that kids will use it and it's one handed for you instead or two. Do you have space for baskets or hampers in your laundry room that you just need a small container until it goes to the laundry or you need a system that holds a decent amount?

If you have a house instead of an apartment, I have a laundry chute. Its the best thing ever. Laundry goes straight down and gets brought up when its clean.
