Hi, nearly completely carnivore here. What’s this about live ground chicks? That’s totally not kosher no matter how you look at it! How is this relevant to the discussion?

They're not being eaten, they're being discarded because they won't produce eggs

So that’s why there’s no more real capon. Pity. We should be eating them, not killing them cruelly. If we must kill them, we should be doing it kindly. My guess is they could also be used for animal feed. Waste bothers me, not eating animals.

The chicks are being ground alive so that we can have cheap eggs.
Lots of insane cruelty in the animal product industry. Like calves being separated from their mothers at birth, and kept in tiny cubicles all their lives.
