Make the dough with Margarine instead of butter
200 grams of flour
1/2 teasp salt
2 Tablespoons Sugar
75 Grams Margarine
1 decilitre parve milk ( soy or almond)
Mix the dry ingredients, then rub in the Margarine until it resembles fine crumbs
Then add the milk and lightly mix until a dough forms
Put into the fridge wrapped in Saran Wrap for 15 mins and then press into a “ wähenblech“
Any round pan about 30 cm in diameter
Pierce the dough with a fork and scatter a few tablespoons of ground almonds or hazelnuts onto the dough, layer the fruit onto the dough and sprinkle with some sugar and if it’s a juicy fruit like cherries or plums some cornstarch
Then mix 3 eggs, 2 decilitres of parve cream , and one packet of instant vanilla pudding ( shortcut) as well as 2 Tablespoons of Kirsch if you have.if you don’t have vanilla pudding add 5 Tablespoons sugar, 1 Tablespoons vanilla sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 2-3 Tablespoons of flour. Any other flavour like cinnamon or nutmeg can be added if desired.Mix it well and pour over the fruit
Bake at 420 for about 50 mins or until the custard is set and the dough is golden brown
