I’m an older mother of young kids
My feet have been bothering me so I bought a comfortable sock sneaker type shoe. It’s black with a big white sole.
I’ll wear with my long black skirt but I’m not comfortable wearing socks since I need the control top of tights.
My question is- I think it looks funny to wear a sneaker with nude- do you agree?
Black tights in the summer ?? But maybe since my skirt is so long and the sock/tights hardly show I can wear black and it will look like a black sock?
(I think it looks great with black but in the winter)
What do you advise?

Maybe find ribbed black tights so it has more of a sock look (for wearing under a long skirt).

if you must wear control top, why don't you just wear control top shorts? I would hate to wear tights with a long skirt!

Wear Spanx or something similar -- they're pretty much just the control top part of pantyhose.
And yes, it looks silly to wear pantyhose (formal) with sneakers (casual).
