How many times do you have to repeat the washes/rinses until you get a clean thrip cloth with Organic Girl Spinach, Kale and Arugula?

I've been told that if you can't get it clean by the third time, you should throw out the whole batch. (Nothing to do with this brand, but as a general klal of using the thrip cloth method.)
