Going to be in NY for succos. I live in a very hot climate, where we are all still wearing stockings. What's with the weather in NY? Nude or black?

Bring both and choose daily depending on the weather. Try to have "inbetween" outfits that can go with either (I.e. not a heavy sweater or very summery lightweight top).
