Then the air raid sirens started".

No wonder he was so eager for Avi Dichter to stay on at the defense ministry as his deputy. Someone needs to know what they're doing Confused

I've been praying for 6 months to have good weather for my oldest son's bar mitzvah at the Kotel next week.

The date finally crept into the long term forecast and it looks gorgeous, bH- very annoyed that I have to be worried about rockets instead!!

I'll be so sad if my family coming in from America cancels their trip.

Oy. I hope the situation is resolved and you get to enjoy the bar mitzva with family.

Did not hear sirens today. I'm in Jerusalem. I'm so pissed at the whole situation and nervous that everyone from Sderot to TA should be safe.
I hope everyone in affected areas are ok. Rockets are so traumatic.

I'm coping by laughing at every dumb Israeli whatsapp joke.

one of my faves:

"It's Tuesday and a day off, maybe we should have elections today"

LOL I'm rolling!

We gotta make jokes to stay sane! I am annoyed at the so called government and just hate that the kids have no school. My DS just asked for 125 shekel to go out with his friends :eyeroll:

I gave it to him so that I can work!

Mass confusion this morning. No school (as we understood last night)? Yes school (rumors this morning)?

In the end, the kids are off to school. Woo hoo!

Same here. Messages every half hour (or felt like it) with changing instructions. Especially because the boys' school is in caravans and they were trying to find them an alternative location and then the one they used yesterday was deemed not suitable. Anyway they have just left now, each one to a different place, feeling hard done by at the cancellation of their day off Wink And both schools here are finishing at 12.45. At least the ganim are as normal.

Very Happy

We were actually woken up by the siren, grabbed the kids (including the baby who I'd just settled to sleep) and had a pyjama party in the mamad which is our guest room and where we had a guest! At least she got to stay snuggled up in her sheets, though I'm guessing it's not so comfortable for her to have someone else's husband come in while you're in bed. Ah well אין מה לעשות.

More jokes:
"Our country's like an old-school appliance. When it stops working, just give it a few hard whacks from the side. Then it starts up again."
