How do I get rid of drain flies? I have a pretty good system for getting rid of their habitat (baking soda/vinegar, followed by boiling water) but the ones that have already hatched still hang around.
We do a decent job of cleaning dishes once they're in the sink, but not perfect (we never leave dishes out over night or for a long period, just have lots of little kids that make immediate cleaning a challenge).
I have never managed to get that cone with the vinegar trick to work...any ideas?
Thank you!

I think you put boric acid salts down there and then pour boiling water

Ugh... they’re so pesky. Mine finally went away but it took a few days. I put apple cider vinegar with a drop of dish soap in an empty wine bottle. They know how to get in but can’t get out. I tried a shallow dish with saran wrap with holes poked in it but I didn’t find it as effective. I also put rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and sprayed wherever I saw them. They die on contact.
