lol I ate enough yesterday ... and mine didn't even come out good ... but at least sonny boy, dd and I had FUN making them ...

Hope I'm not too late -
I've bought both English and Israeli packets of dried yeast before. The English is like the American - 7g. The Israeli, however, was a much bigger packet, at least twice the size, but I don't have one to hand to check.

3 tsp = 1 T

I think the israeli packs are 11g.

But it should be fine. My recipes give such different amounts of yeast for one batch, some say 1 tsp, some 1 tbsp.

The doughnuts came out delicious, really soft and fluffy. I filled the dough with a few chocolate chips and used wholewheat flour. Yum! Thanks for all the advice!
