What does your cleaning lady do in your house and how does it take her. Just want to get an idea of what I can expect
Thanks!

3 hours, once a week:
Change linens on 5 beds/crib
Sweep and mop our (small-ish) 3 bedroom house
Scrub bathrooms
Clean counters and sinks
Empty garbages
Wipe down table
I usually try to take care of the organization and tot clean up before, but there is a little of that as well

She comes 4 hours once a week.
cleans 3 full bathrooms and one half bathroom
Mops living room/dining room and kitchen floors
Vacuums all bedrooms,playroom and steps
Fold some laundry.
Last 10 minutes: wash dirty dishes in the sink.
More or less that's the schedule with some changes when microwaves or stoves need to be cleaned.
sometimes I take her for one extra hour earlier in the week just to fold laundry!
I have a big house! (but I also clean a lot myself on the other days! )

She makes my house beautiful 😃
Clean kitchen, bathrooms, bed linens, floor, mirrors.
On occasion, windows, fold laundry.
I appreciate her so much.

Depends on what stage of life I'm in.
Right now I'm right after a baby (3 weeks old) so I've been taking help almost every day.
Otherwise I have help 2 or 3 times a week, for about 4 hours each time.
She mops floors, washes dishes, cleans bathrooms, changes linen.
Sometimes: does laundry (I put it away), peels and cuts vegetables (fridays), cleans up.
Basically she keeps my house from looking like a garbage dump and keeps me sane.

Did you grow up in a home with no cleaning help?
The cleaning person will usually do whatever you ask her to do. She is like your second pair of hands. If its your first time, make sure to be clear about what you want her to do do you dont get frustrated, and make sure to offer her a drink or snack. Also, every cleaning lady works at a different speed. Its hard to compare to people here because you don't know the size of anyone's homes etc. Also, if you have a lot of clutter, it will obviously take longer. If you want her to do more cleaning and less organizing, then clear out and put away the clutter before she comes, or work with her in each room that she is in.
Personally I hate having to "clean up" before the cleaning lady comes. So I either work with her, or I let her make piles and I clear up at my convenience. Then again, some people have cleaners who are more like housekeepers and know where to put away all the clutter themselves.

OP, are you looking for pure cleaning, or more of a grab bag of maid or housekeeping services? Then people can answer with relevant information.
Pure cleaning is when the person or people come, and they go through the house in a wave: mop, dust, wash, scrub (in no particular order) the whole house and leave. I have cleaners who do this weekly. They work independently, with their own equipment and supplies.
Other services that I consider more maid or housekeeping include: washing dishes, doing and folding laundry, tidying, organizing, food prep, letting the dog out and in, keeping an eye on kids or feeding kids. I have no experience with this type of "cleaning help," but it seems common in the frum community.

Less nice is the part where I go to work and make enough money to have cleaning help in the budget.

That’s silly. Lots of people go to work and still don’t have the budget for cleaning help. I am blessed. I have lots of cleaning help and she does everything for me including cooking, grocery shopping and childcare. But I recognize that it’s a blessing.

Your employees are not slow. Doing these tasks well takes time.
In 6 hours
Remove, wash, and replace linen for 5 beds
Wash/dust/polish furniture
Scrub 2 bathrooms
Scrub kitchen
Vacuum and wash floors in 3 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, outer hallway and stairs
1 rotating task each week like oven or refrigerator, things like that
Fold laundry (that I washed previously)
And I've had ladies who took longer than 6 hours too.
