We are looking to move to an OOT community with:
-great elementary school, girls' HS and if possible boys' yeshiva (for serious learning type boys)
-stable, low-politics shul with Rav & Rebbetzin whom people respect
-affordable housing (under 400k)
We are a morah and rebbe with 5+ years of experience, so would need to be somewhere with job openings for us. Fine with a mix of students, but the hashkafa of the school should be OOT yeshivish (not Lakewood yeshivish).
Do you live in a place like this? Tell me about it!

Waterbury has a boys' yeshiva like I'm describing? For serious boys who want to learn?

I've heard of Richmond, thought it was super small though! Again, they fit the bill for boys' yeshiva?

There are about 80 frum families, not including chabad.
The boys who are from Richmond and are in the hs are excellent boys from the best families. I don't know any of the boys who come from other places! The rosh yeshiva and the rebbeim are amazing.
I wouldn't call it yeshivish. It's just plain frum. It's OOT!

Cincinnati has most of what you're looking for, I believe.
There is no boys yeshiva (except a Chabad one), but a yeshivish one is opening in 2021. I don't know much about it, as we are MO and it will not be a place we would send. But I'm sure there are people who could tell you more about it.

You should plan to send your son away and look for the other criteria. I dont know of any RW yeshivas located in areas like you described especially if excluding CC.

Agreed that it sounds like a good fit, but not sure about job openings offhand.
