$1000 per month for food/ groceries/ household (incl diapers, etc)
Family of 7 in Brooklyn. 2 in diapers
It sounds like a lot but I'm having trouble keeping it.
Any imput?
(We're super tight. If I can get it even lower that would be great)

I couldn’t imagine you could be under $1500 total. Do some brainstorming to see if there is somewhere else you can make up the difference. Look at your fixed bills too. Cloth diapers could be an option.

$1000 a month is quite little for a family of 7.
We're a family if 5 and our groceries are more then $1000 a month.

For food, toiletries and diapers, that sounds right. I also wish we could lower that budget line. But that's what it costs (or more).

Maybe you can shop the "deals" to try to get more for the same $ amount.

Sounds very frugal to me. I'm a bit above that with family of 6 and I consider myself frugal.

That's very low op. I doubt you can go lower? Is toilet training 1 kid an option?

We are a family of 8. 1 in diapers. Approx 1200-1500 per month. We could get it less but it would be hard.
Divide it by week.

That sounds very little. We don’t have kids yet so just us 2 and groceries about 700 and household miscellaneous expenses another 2-300

I think that's very low. We're only a family of four and my budget is 800 for just food and paper goods. We eat a lot of produce but I only shop sales and don't buy any convenience foods.

Maybe buy in bulk. Costco sells bigger quantities for better prices so you spend more at once, but save money in the long run.
Also, if you change the temps on your a/c and heater by a few degrees, you'll be surprised what a difference it will make monetarily, and it's not enough of a change to make anybody uncomfortable.

250/week sounds great.
Do you shop at KRM?
Can you buy generic brands (target/walmart online) for diapers, wipes, toiletries?

That's very little. Family of 7 here My groceries are more, plus monthly trip to BJ's in bulk for paper supply/detergents etc.
I shop sales and create my menus around it.
I try that I shouldn't go above $300 weekly

that sounds so low to me. We are a family of 7, but essentially 6 adults and one in diapers.
My teens eat A LOT and do not allow me to make my menus based on sales.
I spend double that. Kudos to you!
