Did they sent it out?
Who is sending the school or the vaad?
I’m a bit confused about the new system, anyone can explain?

I'm also waiting (im)patiently. It was explained to me that acceptance letters will only go out once the Vaad makes sure everyone has a place. A child can still get into more than one school.

Is this a new development? I always knew about the Lakewood Vaad, but never heard of one in Brooklyn. Who's on the Vaad, and how does it work? My oldest DD still has a ways to go until applying for high school, but still curious to know how it works these days.

Wow, they did implement this new rule about first getting together to ensure every girl has a school and only then sendung out letters! Job well done!

I read about it in Hamodia, I think, around succos time. Iirc, the Vaad consists of HS principals (mainly Flatbush schools, BYHS), some askanim, probably few rabbis.

I don't recall sefardi schools being part of the Vaad at the time of the article (maybe they had no problems with girls ending up without a HS or maybe they joined later). Other than that, most mainstream girls only schools in Flatbush are BY (except Shulamis)

BYA got permission to 1. have them exams early since they had a production, 2. give out acceptance letters early to those applicants who applied to non vaad schools like Prospect Bnos Leah and Manhattan High.
Lev BY also gave out acceptance letters early to those applicants who applied to non vaad schools like their Queens applicants who also applied to Queens schools.

That's so interesting. Elementary schools were giving out acceptance letters?
Right, Queens and Manhattan HS aren't included. Prospect, though, should be a Vaad school

What's with Machon? The article says they were part of Vaad, although this year they didn't have 9th grade. Are they having 9th grade next year?

No. When the Vaad formed in June 2019 they must have still been involved.

I'm referring to the high schools.
Prospect decided not to join the Vaad.

You said that BYA got permission to give out acceptance letters to students who applied to Prospect and Manhattan HS. It means BYA HS sent the out earlier, to be on the same timeline as other non Vaad schools?
How come Prospect got out of the Vaad, any idea?
