I have two unopened bags of almond flour. That's a lot of money. But if it went rancid, it's even worse to waste the other ingredients.
The bags are puffed up like there's a lot of air, too.
Should I just buy new ones (which I likely won't use, especially if no guests come...)?

yes--buy new, if puffed up. If they had been stored in the freezer, and weren't puffed up, they would be fine.

Did you open them up to smell and taste if they are actually rancid? If they weren't kept in the freezer or at least in a dry cool place, then they likely could be bad.
Make your menu and decide what you actually need with no guests coming. You may not need to buy almond flour at all this year.

Can't you just carefully open and check them?

For future reference, store nuts, products containing nuts, and other products with a high fat content in the freezer, not in the room-temp Pesach storage box where you keep your dishes and pots and pans.

I always put the ground nuts etc in the freezer (and we always buy way too much)
