I'm wondering if those induction pot discs would work on a ceramic (glass hob)

I asked a shaile about it last year and was told to clean well, burn out each one for 10 mins on highest but best to cover with foil which can and probably will crack the glass so I don't want to do that.

The short answer is "No, you'll ruin it."

The long answer is here: https://www.star-k.org/article.....eams/

Buy yourself a cheap little 2 burner portable cooktop with an electric element. You'll be glad you did.

Thanks. I wonder why that would happen though. Maybe it's something to do with the disc being magnetic. Otherwise all it is, is a metal disc to go in between the hob and pot.

I have a pesach portable 2 burner already but I find it hard to use so was wondering if I can somehow use my normal hob.

I've asked on shaile text again. I'll see what they reply with. Maybe the psak has changed since the current difficult circumstance with the virus Can't Believe It
