I have a years worth of challah taken in my freezer that I usually burn by biur chometz. Being that there will not be biur chometz this year, what is the best way to burn it in my oven? What temperature, how long, how burnt does it have to be?
Thank you

I put it into a pan and turned the oven onto high broil. I let it go for quite a while, don't remember exactly....it was pretty burnt. then I let it cool and threw it out.

Some people feel burning it in the oven makes the oven treif.. Depending on where you live, there are people who do this, just like sheimos and kashering.. in boro park they will even pick it up.

You can flatten, triple wrap in foil, then burn in oven without treifing.

Thanks! Wouldn't double wrap be sufficient?

I double wrap. BUrn for 2 hrs at 450 in the toaster oven (that's the longest time plus highest setting). I feel it...if it's still smushy at all I burn it longer. I want it to be brick-hard.

It needs to be black through and through. You can wrap it in foil and put it on a grill. Or burn it together with charcoal and then you don’t need to use the actual grill.

When I gave in my challa to the truck that collects it, they said not to wrap it in foil because the foil does not let the dough get burned through.
