I'm looking for a list of appropriate books for elementary age kids, preferably checked by someone frum so they understand where we are coming from. Does anyone know of one?

Chinuch.org has one. Not sure the last time it was updated though bc I’ve looked for books recently and didn’t find them in there. However I really like how it’s detailed and writes why it says a book is ok, not ok, or maybe ok so that you can be the final judge.

It’s fabulous and very easy to navigate. You can search by author, title etc. and it literally tells you what pages can be problematic. It also rates each book as acceptable, mostly acceptable, questionable etc so that you can decide based on the review if it’s okay for your family.
