I'm looking for an apple kugel recipe with a yummy crumb topping to use up all of these apples I'm getting from the free lunches. I know there was a good one in the Balebuste's Choice cookbook, but I can't find the book right now.

Apple kugel

1 Cup oats
1 cup flour
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. cinammon

Mix with your hands and form crumb for topping

For 8 x 8 pan:
Peel and slice 6 green apples ( or any apples)
toss with 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/4 cup sugar

put apples on bottom and cover with the crumbs. Bake 350 rill brown.

Apple kugel

3 cup flour
2 and 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 and 1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. vanilla sugar
3/4 cup oil
2 eggs

Make crumbs by hand for topping

take 6 apples. peel and slice. toss with lemon juice and sugar.

spray bottom of pan and cover with some crumbs. Pour on the apples
and cover with rest of crumbs. Bake at 350 till brown.
