How much should a weekly shopping bill for a couple be? I feel like we are spending so much it scares me! We’re not even eating so much but the bill keeps adding up

I’m not sure what our bills are right now, and I’m also not great at budgeting, but I think we probably spend around $200 - $250 a week on food for a family of four (including shabbos). That doesn’t include pizza/takeout 1-2 times a week. We’re not big eaters though. If we were, I’d be spending a lot more on suppers.

Im shocked also how much I'm spending.
Very basics each week for 2 of us are well over a hundred. I have not bought any meat lately.
Most of my order is very basics items. E.g.. Bread milk. Eggs, onions ,potatoes cream cheese, few veggies ( not a lot like 3 cucumbers , 3 tomatoes and 2 peppers)

Only you can decide how much is too much.
Instead of going by your shopping list, though, I suggest you do an audit by menu.
What did you eat for supper last week? Lunch? Breakfast? Snacks? What did you make for Shabbos? Break down the meals and give each a price.
If you see that snacks are very expensive, see if you can try cheaper alternatives for some. Are breakfasts costing more than dinners? You may want to make some different choices.
Or, you may look at your breakdown and realize that you are spending a reasonable amount per meal, and want to keep it that way.
