I went to visit a married friend of mine over the summer and they had this game called quelf. It was hilarious and we had a great time playing it. I'm going to ask here where she got it because I haven't seen it around where we live.

I know this is an old thread but we got some great new games

Sleeping queens - for younger kids but my older kids enjoy playing this with them
Code names - need to read, team based
Cover your assets
Bang - for older kids, complicated

If anyone has the Upwords thats usable on Shabbos, please post a pic. Thanks.

Not a word game but I’m surprised that stratego hasn’t been mentioned. There’s a yiddish version called hatzola go.

Love letters - a fun, fast-paced card game
Dixit - have to give creative clues, great for families

I'm surprised nobody mentioned (Settlers of) Catan yet! Way cool game.

I'll also second Set and Blokus. Smart games, fun to play.

Perpetual Commotion is super fun to play, fast paced, good for up to 6 players I think.

All these games are good for medium age kids, older kids, and adults. Younger kids can also get the hang of Set but might be too slow to play against older kids.
