Chaim vchesed is a great organization who really helps. I was thinking that I might have to leave but since my whole family was here I was concerned about getting back. They told me to definitely file a request before I leave to assure that I would be able to get back in. I decided not to go for now but I know that there is not a guarantee without the letter in advance.

2 separate issues:
1. being allowed in - seems like that could be a possibility
2. getting a flight - I don't know...

Update from Chaim V'chessed:
Entrance Policy Changed Once Again for Foreigners
The Foreign Ministry has, once again, altered the process for foreign students wishing to enter Israel.
As of Friday, May 15, students are not to reach out to Israeli consulates or embassies for permission to enter Israel. Rather, the institutions in which they study are to apply directly on behalf of their students.
Guidelines have not yet been released on how this process will work. Furthermore, it is our opinion that this process ought not to apply for student visa families whose center of life is in Israel. We are currently in contact with government officials on this matter, and will issue an update as soon as we have further details to share.
