In the past few months, our community has experienced devastating tragedy. The tears have not yet dried on the faces of the almonos and yesomim, yet many chafe at the restrictions and push for a return to normalcy.

On Shavuos, a 57 year old man was niftar in Monsey. He had been hospitalized for weeks, and finally succumbed on Yom Tov.

His children were orphaned from their mother when she lost the battle with cancer 4 years ago. They are now doubly bereft.

A 19 year old kallah due to get married in 3 weeks.
A 17 year old daughter.
A 15 year old son.
And a 12 year old who will be bar mitzvah in Av.

When things get difficult and you crave normalcy, think about how much all of us would have been willing to sacrifice in order to save the life of this one man.

Why do you think my anxiety and depression are merely an inconvenience?

Tell that to the orphans.
I'm sure they will feel terrible.

Not going to engage. I did not cause their father to die. May Hashem comfort them.

I wanted to reply on the thread about the death of a 57 y/o in monsey. Key words: he was hospitalized for weeks. Yes there was a time a few weeks ago when whoever didn’t follow the SD guidelines might’ve had blood on their hands, but wake up and smell the roses. Things have changed since March/April.
