My almost 9 year-old really wants a camera and has definitely earned a significant reward. This child tries hard but is not so responsible so 1. I don't want to spend that much, and 2. it should be somewhat durable.
Any recommendations?

. If you have an old phone with a decent camera use it. Disable the internet browser. Let him use the camera phone. Then you can also use wifi to sync photos to a cloud storage as well.
