So I just bought this new pan, cuz DH loves muffin tops from the bakery, and I thought this would be cheaper and healthier.

I tried using a regular muffin recipe, and baking for shorter, but they are coming out dry and crumbly.
Anyone have a good recipe, or any tricks how to make them crispy and crunchy like the bakery?
TIA.
(I'm expecting to hear that the only way to do it is to use crisco and high fructose corn syrup.)
