Do you mean chicken with the bone in versus boneless?
The short answer is that it is almost impossible to do so because a grill pan requires the surface of the food to be flat so it is even cooked. Chicken with a bone needs to be braised or roasted so that heat is all around the meat.
It is even difficult to cook chicken with a bone on a real grill. You need to move the chicken off to the side so that the outside isn't burned while the inside is raw. You also cook in with the lid down so that the heat is like an oven as opposed to just being from the bottom.

"Rib steak" chicken should be grilled in a pan the same way as chicken thighs or pargiot. About 8 minutes per side.
