My mother also didn't change her last name when she got divorced. She was married almost 25 years when she got the divorce so she was very use to it and so many people knew her by that last name. We (her children) at first when she started talking about changeing her last name but by that time we were 20 and 21 and told her to do what she felt most comfortable with. That we weren't nurt if she wanted to go back to her maiden name since we were older. She then died shortly after that. Her maiden name is on the masteva not her ex-married name even though she neve actually changed it legelly.
