I started reading a book 7 years ago and had to return it without completing it.
I do not remember the title and want to get hold of the book.
The story is about an American girl becoming a baalas teshuva in Yerushalayim in seminary and dating/ engaged to a boy from similar background. Her parents don’t approve where she is headed.
I think the title had something about Butterflies, like with the words monarch, chrysalis, metamorphosis, or something like that.
I think the book was published in the 1980’s or earlier.
Anyone knows which book this is?

It sounds like a Rachel Pomerantz book.

Thank you for your effort. Rachel’s books are from 1989 and on, and the plots are completely different from what I have described.
Wildflower description is about a couple fostering a child. Is there anything else to the story that would be remotely similar to what I am describing?
I have scoured the internet and could not find it.
Anyone remember actually reading this book?

Wildflower is not only about a couple fostering. That comes later. The first part is about barbara becoming a ballas teshuva. And then her meeting Chaim another BT

I read this book and it doesn’t sound like this is the book OP is referring to.

Yes, the first half is abt her becoming religious in Israel, dating, getting engaged, her parents trying to break it off. Set in the 1970s at the beginning of the book as I recall.
