What do you give your recently turned 1 year old to eat?
Looking for lunch/dinner ideas- SIMPLE, easy to prepare, and not to complicated or hard for a baby to eat.
Carbs, proteins...

Yogurt & Cheerios/ Bread / Rice Cake
Eggs & Cheerios/ Bread/ Rice Cake
Cheese & Cheerios/ Bread / Rice Cake
sometimes I’ll add Avocado or sliced strawberries or other fruits or veggies (cucumber sticks)
Chicken/ Meat and Potatoes/ Rice/ Pasta and any veggies if there is (Broccoli, Carrots, Squash..)
Fruit pouches with puffs (Gerbers cereal) (Amazon is the cheapest for OU eaters)
And yeah I need more ideas too.

Everything I give older kids to eat. Yogurt, cereal, crackers, cheese. Sandwiches, eggs, tuna patties, vegetables from the soup, fresh fruit or vegetables. Pretzels, chips, raisins. Pasta, chicken, meat, mixed vegetables, etc. etc. etc. I don't cook special meals, they can have what I'm eating.

Oatmeal, toast, I dip bread in eggs and cook it with cheese, chicken (schnitzel), rice, healthy pasta (chcikpea, red lentil, black bean etc...), broccoli, yogurt, cheese, eggs with sauce and cheese (he loves it!), salmon, tuna, chili.

My 10 month old eats:
Avacado on toast or plain avacado, chummus on crackers, banana pancakes, rice cakes, yogurt, cheese, scrambled eggs, tuna patties, salmon, potatoes, pizza, grilled cheese, cereal, chicken cutlets (cut into thin strips), peanut butter sandwiches, corn on the cob, broccoli florets, pasta, fresh fruit, french toast, potato kugel, canned beans, french fries, knishes, fish sticks...

You don’t even need to mash or cut into tiny pieces at age 1.
Long strips that are easy to hold and bite from is great for this age. Medium sized pieces should be introduced at this time as well.

I mash chicken cutlets because it’s the only way he’ll eat em!

What size cheese is everyone talking about here? And what about number of teeth?
My son has two teeth and I can’t imagine him eating things like chicken (how do you mash that kind of thing?). He’ll gag sometimes when I give him a cracker that isn’t broken up- he’ll either take too big of a bite or will try to stuff the whole thing into his mouth

my baby had 2 teeth at age one and couldn't yet eat chicken unless it was really small. he got more teeth at 15 month

You can boil a chicken cutlet with veggies and rice, and then mash it up.
You can mash hamburgers- beef or chicken or turkey.
My baby loves sautéed liver lol. He eats it whenever my husband makes it, usually every Shabbos. Good protein, iron, and easy to eat.
Sweet potatoes, French fries, avocado, bananas, chickpeas, beans- all easy to self feed without teeth.
Fruit in a mesh teether.

The number of teeth doesn't matter. My son just got his first tooth at 9 months and he has been eating all these things since 6 months.
Start with long thing strips that they can bite from. Anything you squish with your finger they can squish with their gums. Gagging is normal. With time they learn to chew or spit out big pieces.

My baby eats chicken. He’s almost one and no teeth yet. Chicken from the soup shredded has been eating this since 9months old.

Whatever DC wants to eat from the food the rest of the family is eating. I don't make special baby food. My 1 year olds still nurse, so at that point food is a supplement as opposed to a primary source of nutrition.

Fish is appropriate to introduce between 6-12 months because it replaces the omega 3 lost in the decrease of breastmilk/formula

They can chew with their gums. Unless your baby is gagging or has feeding issue they probably can eat it without it being mashed.

My instinctive response - nothing!
She's a terrible eater... But has been since birth. Some things she'll eat occasionally:
*penne/spiral pasta (usually 10 pieces or so...)
*scrambled egg (sometimes 3 bites, sometimes 2 eggs)
*whites of hardboiled eggs
*cubes of avocado
*'pizza bread' - bread with ketchup and cheese, microwaved
*plain chicken drumsticks
*cucumber and tomato quarters

His mood/ interests keep changing.
Right now his favorite foods are:
Blieberry muffins, banana, PB (on banana slice, cracker, thin apple slice, pretzel), cranberries, pretzels.
Spinach smoothie. Apple sauce.
Cut up grapes.
Cut cherry tomatoes.
Large chunks cooked carrot.
Cooked squash.
Rice. Farfel. Meat, ground beef. Chicken.
Others ideas:
Tuna patties, gefilte fish. Egg salad. Scrambled egg.
Yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream.
He really likes yogurt and other dairy products, but he has slight intolerance so I don't give it to him often.
