What is your list of essential Jewish children’s books that no home library is complete without? All ages, whatever comes to mind.

Oh shoot you took the words straight out of my...keyboard.
Wasn't thinking of the last one but the first three are definitely at the top of my list for classic picture books.

For chapter book readers, we loved the "Jewish Girls Around the World" series. Definitely very girl-specific, as much as they are really well done junior historical novels I can't imagine boys being interested at all.

The Artscroll children's series. Children's Siddur, Megillas Ruth, etc. Lovely pictures and large print.
DD liked this series of books: https://www.amazon.com/Peninas.....3001X
For older girls, the Barry Deutch series of "Mirka" graphic novels. I love these! http://hereville.com/how-to-bu.....ille/ My paperback copies got ruined in the last move, so I just bought myself the hardback set.
My Friends the Aleph Bet and Aleph to Tav
Just Right (moving into a new home) https://www.amazon.com/Just-Ri.....13915
Tiny Treasures of Jewish Holidays - this one may be out of print, I can't find it online.
Messes of Dresses. This book actually helped me a lot with hoarding tendencies, and needing to declutter. https://www.amazon.com/Messes-.....M9GGX
Shikufitzky Street - DD read this one over and over - and over! It looks like there's 5 books in the series now. This series is good for boys, too.

The Avner Gold books.
Bina, Benny and Chaggai HaYonah on the chaggim.
And we are huge fans of the Just Imagine comic series.

My boys enjoyed them! And they turn away at anything too "girly."

So many wonderful books. I don't know where to begin, or maybe, end.
Around the Shabbos Table - Berman
Red Yellow Blue Thread - Kosman
We Want Life - Greenwald, Feldheim, shmiras halashon
As Big as an Egg - Sandman
Why am I blanking out? I'll be back later.
What ages do you want?

Thank you so much for your responses, everyone! Re: the last comment, I would love books for all ages! 0 to about 8 are my primary interest right now, but I would love to hear your suggestions for all ages.

My granddaughters don't get tired of the Purim story and want to read it all year from the Artscroll children's megillah.

I don’t know about essentials, but my daughter has read these books over and over and over again -
Tell Me the Story of the Parsha - not cheap so we only have one but it’s really worth every penny.
The Shazak books on Chanuka, Purim and Pesach.
